Snow Emergency Issued In Newtown
Ahead of the storm sweeping our area Friday and Saturday, the township manager said cars need to be off the road.

NEWTOWN, PA — A snow emergency will go into effect in Newtown Friday evening, as heavy snowfall and high winds are forecasted for the area this weekend.
Township Manager Micah Lewis issued the declaration to go into effect at 9 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday.
Depending on conditions, the snow emergency could be extended.

Cars cannot park on any streets and roads in the township after accumulation of more than one inch of snow until the snow has been fully cleared, per the declaration.
Bucks County has also issued a “Code Blue” declaration for the low temperatures, wind chill, and precipitation expected this weekend. The Woodside Church at 1667 Edgewood Road in Yardley will be open for shelter through Monday.
