Snow Totals, Timing For Tuesday Night Storm In Eastern PA
A winter weather advisory is in place Tuesday evening throughout the Philadelphia region. Up to 3 inches of snow is now expected.

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Up to three inches of snow is now possible Tuesday night and a winter weather advisory has been issued across the region, the National Weather Service said.
The winter weather advisory begins at 5 p.m. and goes through midnight.

The National Weather Service says precipitation will move in from southwest to northeast late this afternoon.
The storm is likely to cause hazardous road conditions during the evening commute throughout the Philadelphia region, including southeast Pennsylvania and South Jersey.

"It will likely start as a brief period of rain before quickly transitioning to snow from northwest to southeast through early this evening. Snowfall rates through the first half of this evening could be moderate at times leading to visibilities below a mile along with a quick accumulation of snow on road surfaces.
Between one and three inches is expected throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Here is the accumulation estimate map:

The snow will taper off west to east around midnight, forecasters say. The chance of precipitation is currently at 80 percent.

The weekend will bring extremely mild temperatures, with a high in the 60s predicted on Saturday.
