Solstice To Reopen In Newtown For Pickup, Delivery

NEWTOWN, PA — Solistice, a new restaurant in Newtown that opened in March but was quickly closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, will be reopening Wednesday, April 22 for curbside pickup and delivery.

The seasonally-driven restaurant concept, which is located at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center, will be open nightly from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a modified dinner menu, the business announced.

Customers can order up to three days in advance through Solstice’s website, or by calling 267-755-8994 starting at 1:30 p.m. To get a 15 percent on your first order, use the promo code SOLSTICE15.

Solstice temporarily closed a week after its March 9 opening due to the outbreak. All non-essential businesses were ordered to close by the governor in mid-March to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Restaurants are permitted to offer takeout or delivery.

There is no current date for when Pennsylvania restaurants will be able to reopen their dining rooms.

When Solstice first closed, it launched a "Sunday Supper" service for its staff. Every Sunday, Solstice staff is invited to pick up a meal to bring home.

Now, Solstice has launched a GoFundMe campaign with 100 percent of proceeds going towards a meal donation program for frontline workers and first responders working in and around Bucks County.

For every $400 raised, Solstice will donate 100 meals to the heroic staff at nearby hospitals that are treating COVID-19 patients. The restaurant's owners have contributed $400 to get the first round of 100 frontline worker meals served.
