Solstice Reopens For Outdoor Dining, Indoor Dining Coming Friday

NEWTOWN, PA — Solstice, a new restaurant in The Village at Newtown Shopping Center, has reopened for outdoor dining. The indoor dining room will reopen Friday, when Bucks County is expected to move into the green phase of coronavirus mitigation.

The 2,500-square-foot outdoor patio will open at 4:30 p.m. daily.

The restaurant, which opened briefly but was soon closed due to the coronavirus shutdowns, said it has implemented all recommended dine-in health and safety protocols.

“We have been preparing for this moment for weeks and are so glad it’s finally here,” said Rick Matteoda-Darby, who opened the restaurant with his parents, Anna and Rick. “We knew with the help our amazing staff and team we would come back stronger and can’t wait for our returning and new guests to try Solstice’s new summer menu.”

Solstice temporarily closed a week after its March 9 debut due to the coronavirus outbreak. All non-essential businesses were ordered to close by the governor in mid-March to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Restaurants were permitted to offer takeout or delivery only.

During the closure, the restaurant offered a "Solstice At Home" menu for delivery and takeout.

The restaurant will be open for dinner on its patio daily Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Solstice’s indoor seating and bar area will open Friday in accordance with all governmental and safety guidelines during the same hours.
