80s Music, Broadway Love Songs This Weekend At The Newtown Theatre
The shows will feature tributes to Duran Duran and Peter Gabriel and to the timeless love songs of Broadway.

NEWTOWN, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre will present the following three concerts next weekend:
- “Double Duran: A Tribute to Duran Duran” on Friday, August 22 at 8 p.m. Double Duran brings the iconic sound, energy and style of the legendary British band that defined a generation. Relive the magic of chart-topping hits like “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” and “Girls on Film.”
- “Shock the Monkey: A Tribute to Peter Gabriel” on Saturday, August 23 at 8 p.m. Shock the Monkey is a journey through two decades of Peter Gabriel’s greatest hits – from his early solo albums to his iconic 1986 smash record “So” to the early 90s with “Us.”
- “Broadway Love Songs & Duets” on Sunday, August 24 at 3 p.m. John and Jessica Smitherman will perform timeless love songs and duets from iconic Broadway musicals, accompanied by a live three-piece band.
Tickets for all three concerts are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com . Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the shows. The theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.
