80s Music, Broadway Love Songs This Weekend At The Newtown Theatre

NEWTOWN, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre will present the following three concerts next weekend:

• “Double Duran: A Tribute to Duran Duran” on Friday, August 22 at 8 p.m. Double Duran brings the iconic sound, energy and style of the legendary British band that defined a generation. Relive the magic of chart-topping hits like “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” and “Girls on Film.”
• “Shock the Monkey: A Tribute to Peter Gabriel” on Saturday, August 23 at 8 p.m. Shock the Monkey is a journey through two decades of Peter Gabriel’s greatest hits – from his early solo albums to his iconic 1986 smash record “So” to the early 90s with “Us.”
• “Broadway Love Songs & Duets” on Sunday, August 24 at 3 p.m. John and Jessica Smitherman will perform timeless love songs and duets from iconic Broadway musicals, accompanied by a live three-piece band.

Tickets for all three concerts are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com . Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the shows. The theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.
