'A Tribute To Philly’s Musical Legends' Coming To The Stage In Newtown

The special matinee concert will feature Cono and his band playing songs by Philadelphia musical legends.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Theatre will present “A Tribute to Philly’s Musical Legends” starring Tommy Cono on Friday, September 5 at 3 p.m.

The special matinee concert will feature Cono and his band playing songs by Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, Chubby Checker, Len Barry, Eddie Holman, The Stylistics, Bunny Sigler and more.

Cono was the protégé of famed singer/entertainer Bobby Rydell. After Rydell’s death, Frankie Avalon continued the relationship with Cono, who has replaced Rydell in the National “Dick Fox’s Golden Boys” show (Frankie Avalon, Fabian & Tommy Cono).

Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com for $33 per person or $28 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $43 at the door on the day of the show (if available). All seating is general admission.

Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show. The theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.
