A much larger utility project is planned for sometime this summer impacting Centre Avenue between Sycamore and South State streets and South State Street from Centre Avenue south to the borough line.

According to borough manager Craig Totaro, PECO will be conducting utility work, which will require intermittent and complete closure of the roads for up to two months.

Totaro said he will be meeting with business owners on Friday to brief them on the upcoming projects.

According to engineer Michele Fountain, PECO will be required to repave the roads once the work is complete under its work permit with the borough.
