NEWTOWN, PA — A woman who wore a wig during an attempt at cashing forged checks at a Newtown Township bank has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, police said.

Kayla Miller, 28, of Seneca Falls has been charged with forgery, identity theft, theft by unlawful taking, and related charges following the September 2018 incident at Univest Bank.

According to police, Miller pulled up to the drive thru of the Swamp Road bank wearing a blonde wig. She gave the teller a stolen and forged check with stolen identification to withdrawal funds from the victim's bank account, police said.
