The Wrightstown Country Store, known for its breakfast sandwiches and cheap coffee, has closed after decades in business.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — The Wrightstown Country Store, known for its breakfast sandwiches and cheap coffee, has closed.

The store, located off Durham Road at Penns Park Road, closed Jan. 19, the business confirmed in a Facebook post.

The site, located at 557 Durham Road, is for sale by owner, according to a sign on the property.

"It’s the end and era," a longtime employee wrote on the business' Facebook page in announcing the closure. "I ask you to make one last trip to the store for that bacon egg and cheese sandwich I know you all love so much. Over the years Tom and Bobbie have learned your names, memorized your orders and worked their hardest to provide the best service they could, I know they will miss you all dearly."

Area residents reacted by sharing memories of the store, which has been in business for decades.

"Very sad this wonderful store is closing. We are really going to miss all of you. You were so very kind to our family not to mention made the best breakfast sandwiches ever," one customer wrote.

Another said: "I feel like this is as sad as when Goodnoe's closed. A special place and old memories that can never be replaced."
