Wrightstown Township Reinstitutes Burn Ban

Even with the rain last week and some rain forecast for later in the weekend, the area remains in drought conditions.

WRIGHTSTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Wrightstown Township Board of Supervisors on Monday voted to reinstate its burn ban effective March 15 until conditions improve.

Over the last few days, there have been several brush fires in the township, including one on Worthington Mill Road and another along the Wrightstown-Buckingham border in Wycombe.

Even with the rain last week and some rain forecast for later in the weekend, the area remains in drought conditions.

The township said it will work with its first responders and fire marshal to monitor the situation and determine when the burn ban can be lifted.
