The Friends of Kevin Neary will host a 30th birthday celebration and fundraiser in his honor on Friday evening, Sept. 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park’s Diamond Club.
Critically wounded and left quadriplegic in a robbery attempt outside his Northern Liberties apartment on Nov. 15, 2011, Neary completed months of rehabilitation and is now being cared for by his father at his family’s Upper Chichester home.
Neary and his family face extensive costs for his continued care, including the need for home renovations and equipment not covered by insurance.
