Elmwood Park Zoo Celebrates the Ground Breaking on its New Parking Lot

Supporters and elected officials joined the staff and board of Elmwood Park Zoo on Wednesday in celebrating its new parking lot

The new parking lot will have 308 parking spaces and eight spots for bus parking.

East Norriton-based Scott Builders is the contractor on the $620,000 project which, according to Elmwood Park Zoo Executive Director and CEO Al Zone, is being paid for with county and state grants.

"It will be a big plus for our night events,” Zone told the Herald. "Moms on Harding Boulevard with strollers are not a good combination."
