1. Tonight is the big game against Wissahickon High and the . Plans include a parade, marching bands, Senior Night activites, a dance party and lots of fun and games for the kids. 2. Roosevelt's not the only party place in town tonight. The Bicentennieal Beef & Beer kicks off at 5pm at the at 920 Haws Ave. The event is a fundraiser for next year's Norristown Bicentennial Celebration. Tickets are only $20 and include all the food and drink you can handle. The party should be going late, so if you do go to the big game, stop by after for a late-night bite.

3. Tomorrow morning the municipality will hold a public auction of bikes, tools and other miscelleneuos items that have been recovered by police but never reclaimed by the original owners. Cash sales only and the minimum bid for any item is $5. Show up in the rear parking lot of at 9:30am to get a look at what's for sale and be prepared for the bidding to start at 10am.

5. Don't be alarmed Sunday morning when you see fire, police and EMS personnel descend on the Norristown Transportation Center. In their continuing effort stay highly trained and well prepared, emergency responders are holding a realistic, scenario-based training program there from 8am to 2pm. Expect to see firefighters, uniformed police and a variety of equipment deployed at the Transportation Center.
