Five Things for Wednesday, Sept. 21

Here are five things to know about Norristown and life today.

1. The Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library is hosting an for parents and children tonight at 6:30 p.m. Montgomery County Sheriff Eileen Whalon Behr will lead a discussion on ways to keep children and teens safe while surfing the Internet. Light refreshments will be served.

2. Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity's Building Committee meets tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore at 533 Foundry Road in West Norriton. The committee plans and oversees the work at construction sites, including evaluating new buildings to be rehabbed, securing the necessary materials and equipment for the job, and ensuring houses are built to Habitat standards. 4. In His Eyes Outreach is offering an informational session on its mentoring program from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. tonight at the . The session will provide information on mentoring offenders and ex-offender. Representatives from the Adult Probation & Montgomery County Correctional Facility will be on hand to answer questions. 5. It's Kinky Quizzo Night at the ! Hostesses Miss Thunder Showers and Miss Summer Clearance will be dolling out $150 in prizes for tonight's naughty quiz game. The fun kicks off at 7 p.m., and seating is limited. Call ahead at 610-272-3133 to reserve a space.
