Luckenson Desrivieres Captured Hiding Under a Box in a New Jersey Basement

Accordin to a release issued by the Montgomery County District Attorney's office, DA Risa Vetri Ferman and Chief Russell J. Bono have announced the arrest of 24-year-old Luckenson Desrivieres for the vicious double murder of 23-year-old Marc Winchell Estiverne and 26-year-old Shamara Hill. The victims were each stabbed numerous times.

Desrivieres, who has ties to Norristown and Irvington, New Jersey, is charged with two counts of First Degree Murder, two counts of Second Degree Murder. two counts of Third Degree Murder, one count each of Robbery, Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Receiving Stolen Property, Possessing Instruments of Crime, and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence.

On Sunday, June 17, at approximately 4:20 p.m., , for a "911" call of a reported double murder and found two bodies in the second floor front bedroom of the residence. The residence is a house where the owners lived and rented out some of the bedrooms. The victims, identified as Marc Winchell Estiverne and Shamara Hill, had several apparent puncture wounds to their heads and torsos.

A joint investigation between the Montgomery County Detective Bureau and Norristown Police Department and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Desrivieres had reportedly fled to New Jersey after the murders.

According to the DA's office, on Wednesday, July 11, members of the Unites States Marshalls Fugitive Task Force and police in Newark, New Jersey arrested Desrivieres at a home in the 100 block of Myrtle Avenue in Irvington, New Jersey. Desrivieres was hiding in the basement beneath a cardboard box. At the time of his arrest, Desrivieres had changed his appearance by shaving his head, removing dreadlocks.

After Desrivieres’ arrest, he was housed in the Essex County Correctional Facility and was then extradited back to Montgomery County from New Jersey. On July 14, 2012 the defendant was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James P. Gallagher and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Margaret Hunsicker on July 20, at 9:30 a.m.

The case will be prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Samantha Cauffman and Justin Boehret.
