Man Assaulted by Girlfriend's Entire Family
Police were flagged down Monday night by a 54-year-old Norristown man who had allegedly been assaulted by eight members of his 21-year-old girlfriend's family.

Shortly before midnight on Monday, police were flagged down in the area of Airy and Noble streets by a 54-year-old Norristown man who had apparently been the victim of an assault.
According to the police report, the victim told officers that he had been in his apartment on the 1000 block of West Main Street in bed with his 21-year-old girlfriend, when members of the young woman's family began banging on the window of his apartment. The man's girlfriend exited the apartment into the common hallway and opened the exterior door, at which point the woman's mother, father, two sisters and four brothers charged in and kicked down the door to his apartment, the victim told police.
Once inside, the victim reported that the family members began to punch him repeatedly. As the man tried to escape the apartment and the beating, he was struck in the mouth, causing two of his front teeth to be knocked out.

The family members allegedly continued assaulting the man as he ran from the apartment towards a nearby alley, but eventually broke off their pursuit and returned to the apartment.
The victim made contact with officers at Airy and Noble streets who returned with him to his apartment. At the scene, officers reportedly found the man's Dell computer smashed on the front porch of the residence. Officers also observed the front door to the man's apartment had been completely knocked down.

The victim also reported that a 30" Dynex flat-screen television was missing from his bedroom.
The man refused medical treatment, but officers took pictures of the apartment door and the man's injuries for evidence. Police were unable to locate any of the suspects in the assault and no details as to the motive for the incident were offered by the victim. Currently no charges have been filed.
