Mural Dedication Today

Supporters and community leaders will cut the ribbon on Norristown's newest mural at 11:30 a.m. today.

The mural at DeKalb and Lafayette streets is finally finished and community leaders and supporters will gather at the base of Norristown's Art Hill for a dedication ceremony at 11:30 a.m. today.

Norristown Ambassador Hank Cisco will cut the ribbon and state Sen. Daylin Leach, Norristown Arts Council President Rich Rogers, Philadelphia Mural Arts Program Executive Director Jane Golden, Councilman Bill Caldwell and artist Matthew Bush will offer comments on the occasion. Norristown Spoken Word Artist Mydera "SpeakMefree" Robinson will read on original poem.

The mural was funded by a state grant secured by state Sen. Leach's office.
