Norristown Couple Charged with Animal Cruelty
Authorities say Charles Charen and Erica Cannella burned their puppy and waited too long to get medical attention for the dog.

According to CBS3, a Norristown couple is facing animal cruelty charges after they allegedly waited a week to bring their pit bull puppy to the SPCA for medical attention.
Authorities say Charles Charen and Erica Cannella, of Norristown, took their four-month-old blue-nose pit bull puppy, Bella, to the SPCA a week after they say the dog injured itself was scratching and licking the wounds, making them worse. Veterinarians reportedly determined that the dog had been burned over 30% of its body, probably with hot water.
The couple are being charged with animal cruelty and conspiracy.
