According to Norristown Bocce League President Dave Fusco, there are more than 2,000 registered bocce team members in the Norristown area alone.

"Our open house bocce event is in honor of Norristown’s Bicentennial Celebration and we invite everyone down for open court bocce to meet the members of the community and enjoy a great time,” said Fucso.

Bocce, which dates back to ancient Rome, can have two or more teams, where each has four balls in their team color. A smaller ball gets thrown about four to eight yards away into the grass or court and each team tries to throw or roll their balls as close as possible to the small ball.

Registration for the tournament is preferred, but walk-ups are welcome. Call 610‐389‐2086 for more information.
