Norristown Witness To Killing Dies In Childbirth
A GoFundMe fundraiser is up to help Niearah Avery's two surviving daughters.
NORRISTOWN —A Norristown mother of two daughters - one fathered by an ex-boyfriend who was fatally shot on Feb. 27, and the other fathered by the man accused of killing the ex-boyfriend- has died from complications of childbirth, officials confirmed today.
Niearah Avery, 26, was the mother of a 7-year-old daughter fathered by Dyon Thompson, who was fatally shot outside Avery’s home in the 500 block of Chain Street.
Avery died Tuesday as a result of complications during childbirth of a daughter fathered by Tymeir Henderson, according to a relative and confirmed by official sources.

Henderson, 27, of East Mount Airy, is in Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville awaiting a preliminary hearing on first-degree murder and related charges in the fatal shooting of Thompson, 28, of Philadelphia.
The two children are living with relatives, officials said.

Meanwhile, Avery’s friend, Sierra Slayton, set up a GoFundMe page seeking donations to help her friend’s children.
Slayton, who was with Avery in her apartment on Feb. 27, wrote on the gofundme page that Niearah would do anything to protect her daughters.
“With a heart of gold and the smile that she smiled, her legacy deserves to live on,” Slayton wrote. “Guiding Aniyah and Alayah's future is the goal. You will truly be missed.”
Avery was pregnant with a child by Henderson when her ex-boyfriend arrive at her home, according to court records.
Thompson arrived in the afternoon of Feb. 27 at her apartment in the 700 block of Chain Street.
Investigators said Henderson fired shots at Thompson and his brother, Quadir Miller, 19, of Philadelphia.
Thompson died in Paoli Hospital as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. Miller was treated for wounds.
Slayton told police she had taken Avery to the hospital earlier in the day of the shootings because she was concerned about premature contractions.
Henderson had fled from the scene and was apprehended Friday in Philadelphia by members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force.
