Norristown Woman Killed in North Carolina Highway Crash
Brooke Byrnes, 25, of Norristown, was killed on Sunday night when the vehicle in which she was a passenger collided headed on with a Cadillac Escalade on U.S. Highway 62.
A Sunday evening crash along U.S. Route 62 in Knightdale, North Carolina has claimed the life of a 25-year-old Norristown woman.
According to reports, Brooke Byrnes was a passenger in 2004 Mazda that crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck a Cadillac Escalade head on at 10:10 p.m. The driver of the Mazda – identified as Megan Williams, 22, of Raleigh, NC, was also killed in the crash, according to WRAL.com.
Three passengers in the Cadillac sustained minor injuries, according to WTVD. The driver of a third vehicle, which side-swiped the Cadillac, was uninjured, the report states.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash, but no charges will be filed against anyone involved, according to newsobserver.com.
