PAL Center Hosting Free Back-to-School Haircut Day on Sunday

Nine Norristown barber shops are donating their time and talents to make sure kids look good when they go back to school next week and they're looking for donations of food and snacks to feed the hungry masses.

Barbers from nine different Norristown-area shops are banding together on Sunday to make sure kids going back-to-school next week do it in style.

Boys entering grades 1 through 9 are invited to come to the at 340 Harding Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2 for a free haircut, just in time for the new school year.

The nine shops participating in the event include , , Bud's, Green and Spruce Street Barber Shop, Hair Labb, Goodfellas, Exclusive,  and .

Organizer Robert Glover is expecting over 200 visitors on Sunday and has already received offers of water and some snacks from state Rep. Daylin Leach's office, Norristown Weed & Seed Steering Committee Chairwoman Rochelle Culbreath and the American Legion, but the group is still seeking donations of food and snacks to feed the visitors and volunteers.
