Some Area Roads Still Closed for Hurricane Cleanup

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has released an updated list of area roads that may be closed or restricted for flood cleanup work and downed trees and power lines caused by Hurricane Irene.

The following are the road closings in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, as of 5 p.m. yesterday:

Montgomery County

• Water St./Mill Rd. between Mill Rd. and Skippack Creek Rd. in Skippack for flood cleanup.
• Park Ave. between Pawlings Rd. and Audubon Rd. in Lower Providence for flood cleanup.
• Washington Ln. between Welsh Rd. and Terwood Rd. in Lower Moreland for flood cleanup.
• Morris Rd. between Penllyn Blue Bell Pk. & Plymouth Rd. in Whitpain for downed tree with wires.

Bucks County

• Route 32 between Aquetong Rd. & Windy Bush Rd. in Solebury and New Hope for downed tree with wires and mud.
• Route 263 between Street Rd. and Aquetong Rd. in Buckingham and Solebury for flood cleanup.
• Route 32 between Letchworth Ave. and Afton Ave. in Yardley for flood cleanup.
• Route 32 between Trenton Ave./Calhoun St. and Taylorsville Rd. in Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield for flood cleanup.
• Route 32 between Laurel Rd. and Upper York Rd. in Solebury for flood cleanup.
• Route 232 between Twining Rd. and Swamp Rd. in Northampton and Wrightstown for flood cleanup.
• Route 32 between Cafferty Rd. and Bridgeton Hill Rd. in Tinicum and Bridgeton for flood cleanup. 
• Tohickon Hill Rd./Stump Rd. between State Park Rd. and Danboro Point Pleasant Pk. in Plumstead for downed tree with wires.

Chester County

• Route 282 between Manor Rd. and Pumpkin Hill Rd. in West Nantmeal for downed utility.
• Creek Rd./Fairview Rd./Lewis Mill Rd. between Park Ln. and Devereux Rd. in Wallace for downed utility.
• Foster Road between Green Lane Road and Yellow Springs Road in Charlestown for road and drainage pipe damage.
• Route 82 between Marshall Bridge Rd. and Old Kennett Rd. in Kennett for downed utility.
• Old Eagle School Rd. between Strafford Rd. and Pugh Rd. in Tredyffrin for downed tree with wires.
