CORRECTION: Township Line Road and Wentz Road Closed Overnight This Week
Township Line Road in Plymouth will be closed overnight Tuesday and Wentz Road in Whitpain will be closed overnight Wednesday and Thursday for Turnpike bridge construction.

According to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Township Line Road in Plymouth, is scheduled to be closed between the hours of 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24 and 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, and Wentz Road in Whitpain will be closed from 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, until 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, and 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, until 5 a.m. on Friday, July 27. in the vicinity of the mainline Turnpike bridges.
The overnight closures are necessary for the protection of the workers and drivers while crews place steel beams on the overhead structures. The Turnpike underpass at Township Line Road will be closed and traffic detoured Tuesday, July 24, between Walton Road and DeKalb Pike from 8 p.m. - 5 a.m. Posted detour routes will direct traffic over Arch Street Road, Jolly Road and Union Meeting Road.
Wentz Road will be closed and detoured to traffic, Wednesday, July 25, and Thursday, July 26 from 8 p.m. –5 a.m. between Jolly Road and Cherry Lane. Posted detour routes will direct traffic over Jolly Road, DeKalb Pike and Cherry Lane.

Signs have been posted to alert motorists of the closure. Local access on Township Line Road and Wentz Road will be available to and from either direction to the bridges, but not through the underpass during the closures. Motorists driving in the vicinity of the Turnpike bridges should be prepared for traffic to reduce to one lane at both bridges once the detour is lifted at 5 a.m.
