Verdi Band to Play Bicentennial Concert on Saturday, July 21
Come out to Elmwood Park for patriotic melodies, Broadway show tunes and Italian standards.
As part of Norristown's Bicentennial Celebration, the Verdi Band will be holding a free two-hour concert on Saturday, July 21 at 7 p.m. at the Fire Chief's Band Shell in .
The band will perform a mix of patriotic standards, Olympic fanfare, themes from the Broadway hit Jersey Boys, selections from Benny Goodman and their own Italian favorites. Enjoy featured performances from cornet soloist Rick Garrick and soprano soloist Jaye Green. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the concert.
