Whitemarsh Police Issue Warrant for Norristown Woman
A Norristown woman was stopped for reckless driving in Whitemarsh and was found to have possible illegal prescription pills in her possession.

According to Plymouth-Whitemarsh Patch, Whitemarsh Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Norristown woman in connection to an alleged DUI incident. According to reports, police responded to a reckless driving call on Sept. 3 at approximately 5:45 a.m. The authorities were able to ID the vehicle and observed the driver execute several instances of reckless driving, including traveling in the opposite traffic lane, before attempting to pull the car over on Germantown Pike near the .
The car, a dark-colored Ford Taurus, ignored police sirens and, after some pursuit, was stopped near Ridge Pike and Chestnut Street in Whitemarsh. The driver, a 43-year-old woman, allegedly screamed at police and would not comply with instructions to exit the car. The woman was physically pulled from the vehicle and put into handcuffs. A search revealed a number of pills on her person.
Police were unable to administer field sobriety tests and the woman would not consent to a blood draw. Whitemarsh ambulance arrived on the scene to take the woman to the woman to Chestnut Hill Hospital.

According to reports, the woman does not have a driver’s license in Pennsylvania.
