3 New Jersey Men Facing Theft Charges In Northampton Twp.
Police issued warrants for each suspect, and on August 4 they were taken into custody, processed, and arraigned on the charges.
NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Three men face theft charges after police linked them to a string of thefts in the area of Florence Drive.
Alexander Cortez of Moorestown, N.J., Justin Irizarry of Camden, N.J., and Karon Smith of Pennsauken, N.J., have been charged with theft by unlawful taking (movable property), theft from a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, and prowling at night.
On July 30 at about 12:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of Florence Dr. for a report of a suspicious incident. A resident reported three subjects had parked a vehicle on the roadway and then walked away.

Officers canvassed the area and located the three men walking on Providence Dr. They were identified as Alexander Cortez, Justin Irizarry and Karon Smith. Due to the recent vehicle thefts and theft from vehicles in the area, the men were identified and interviewed. After interviewing the suspects, they were free to go.

Later that morning and the following day, police took several theft from vehicle reports on Florence Dr. and surrounding neighborhoods. Through further investigation and the assistance of local video, it was determined that the individuals committing the thefts were the same ones patrol had identified earlier in the morning.
Police issued warrants for each suspect and on August 4, they were taken into custody, processed and arraigned on theft charges. They were remanded to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $35,000 bail.
