Police Make Warrant Arrests During Traffic Stop: Northampton Twp. Crime Report

Police also investigated several vehicle crashes and assisted Warminster Township search for a person who fled on foot.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Nov. 24 and Nov. 30:

November 24

  • Suspicious Vehicle - Patrol observed an occupied vehicle in a parking lot off from Churchville Lane. Contact was made with the occupants and everything checked out okay. They then left the parking lot.

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Jacksonville Road and Almshouse Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling northbound on Jacksonville Road toward Almshouse Road when it struck the rear of unit 2. This caused unit 2 to then strike unit 3 which was in front of them. Both unit 2 and unit 3 were stopped in the northbound travel lane for Jacksonville Road.

November 26

  • Traffic Accident (Deer Involved) Patrol responded to the area of Rocksville Road and Bridgetown Pike for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling on Rocksville Road when a deer entered the road. Unit 1 then left the roadway and struck a tree to avoid striking the deer. Tow was not required.

  • Traffic Accident (Deer Involved) - Patrol responded to the area of 2nd Street Pike and Tartan Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling northbound on 2nd Street Pike near Tartan Road when a deer entered the roadway. As a result, contact was made. Tow was not required.

November 28

  • Warrant Arrest - initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 900 block of 2nd Street Pike for a vehicle violation. During the traffic stop, it was found that both the driver and passenger had active warrants. They were subsequently taken into custody.

November 29

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Buck Road and Rocksville Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 stopped on Rocksville Road at Buck Road for the stop sign. Unit # 1 then entered onto Buck Road and made contact with unit 2, which was traveling southbound on Buck Road. Tow was not required.

November 30

  • Assist Other Police Department - The Northampton Township K-9 Unit assisted Warminster Police with locating an individual who had fled from them on foot.

During this tour, patrol handled 12 alarm calls, 15 abandoned 911 calls, 51 medical emergencies, 9 bookings, 9 domestic disputes, 7 civil disputes, 64 traffic monitoring details and 24 crime prevention details.
