Annual Hometown Heroes Wreath Laying

Held December 7, 2024 at Union Cemetery, Richboro PA

The Northampton Township Veterans Advisory Commission was pleased to present the Annual Hometown Heroes Wreath Laying to honor all first responders and military interned at the Union Cemetery located 209 Almshouse Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. Union Cemetery dates back to 1855 and has many U.S. Military buried on site. However, Union Cemetery is a community Cemetery open to all backgrounds. Burial of anyone of any Religion (Non-Sectarian) with Military or non-Military backgrounds are welcome. The ceremony began 11:00AM at the cemetery. Members of the Northampton Township Police, Fire and EMS attended.

The 25 minute ceremony was well attended and was emceed by Kristin Reilly. The Colors were posted by the Marine Corps League Patriot Detachment 1230, the Anthem was sung by Lisa Garner and the keynote speaker was Sgt. Zach Wyant of the Northampton Township Police Department. A special presentation was given by Bucks County Veterans Affairs Director Matt Allen to Charles Wyant as a dedicated veteran and as a retired 34 year Northampton Township police officer. Charles Wyant is the father of Zach Wyant.
