Arrests Made For DUI, Outstanding Warrants: Northampton Crime Report
Police also investigated fraud cases and numerous traffic accidents, including a car that crashed into a pole and a deer collision.
NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Northampton Township reported the following incidents and arrests between March 24 and 30:
March 24
- Found Property - While conducting a business check in the 800 block of 2nd Street Pike, an individual turned over found property in the area. Property was taken and patrol was able to locate the owner.
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Bridgetown Pike and East Holland Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling on East Holland Road and had stopped for a stop sign at Bridgetown Pike. While attempting to turn, unit 1 made contact with unit 2 which was traveling on Bridgetown Pike. Tow was not required.
March 25

- Traffic Stop (Warrant Arrest) - Patrol initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a violation on 2nd Street Pike. During the investigation, it was found that a passenger had an active arrest warrant. The passenger was taken into custody for the warrant.
March 26
- Traffic Accident (Deer Involved) - Patrol responded to the 200 block of West Bristol Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling westbound on West Bristol Road when a deer entered the roadway. As a result, contact was made. Tow was not required.
- Fires - Patrol responded to Joanne Road for a dwelling fire. Once on location, contact was made with the property owner who was outside of the home. Northampton Township Fire Department responded, and the fire was extinguished.

- Scam/Fraud - A resident reported that they received a text message associated with Apple that an order was processed. Unsure what it was, they contacted the phone number in the message. The resident then spoke to multiple individuals who requested their account information. The resident found that this was a scam and contacted their financial institution. The case was assigned to detectives.
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the 300 block of Worthington Mill Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling westbound on Worthington Mill Road when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Tow was required.
March 28
- Scam/Fraud - A resident reported receiving a phone call from what appeared to be their bank on their caller ID. The caller reported fraudulent charges on the resident's account. The phone call was terminated and the resident went to their financial institution to make them aware of the incident. Information was gathered.
March 29
- Traffic Stop (DUI Arrest) - Patrol initiated a traffic stop in the area of Bustleton Pike and Upper Holland Road for a motor vehicle violation. Through investigation, the driver was taken into custody for suspicion of driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
March 30
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Shelbourne Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was being operated on the roadway when it left the roadway and struck a hydrant. Tow was required.
During this tour, patrol handled 12 alarm calls, 12 abandoned 911 calls, 27 medical emergencies,14 bookings, 5 domestic disputes, 10 civil disputes, 80 traffic monitoring details, and 24 crime prevention details.
