Canine Visits Senior Center

Northampton Township PD Officer Eric Freas handled Maui

On May 29th the Seniors at Northampton Township’s James E. Kinney Senior Center located in Richboro, PA enjoyed the company of Northampton Police Department’s canine Maui accompanied by his handler police officer Freas. Officer Freas told the story of how Maui joined the force and what he was trained to due. The canine is predominantly trained to sniff out narcotics and is not an attack dog. In fact, Maui allowed everyone to pet her and enjoys company. Officer Freas address many questions during the 50 minute visit and everyone enjoyed both the human and canine companionship during the visit.
