Council Rock Bus Aide Fired Following Indecent Exposure Charge
The man was found asleep and partially undressed inside his car on the grounds of the Richboro Elementary School.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A school bus aide charged with indecent exposure has been fired after he was found partially undressed inside his car on the grounds of the Richboro Elementary School.
The incident happened on April 10, confirmed Council Rock Superintendent Andy Sanko in a letter sent to parents on April 30.
While inside his car, the bus aide - an employee of the district's contracted transportation provider - Durham Bus Services - had no contact with or proximity to students, confirmed the superintendent.

The superintendent did not name the bus aide in his letter, but criminal court records identify him as Glen Martinez, 39, of Lower Southampton. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 22.
A Council Rock staff member discovered the partially undressed man sleeping in his car and immediately notified the school principal.

Due to the timing of events, while the staff member was reporting the incident, Martinez boarded a school van, and the van departed before the situation could be fully addressed, the superintendent said.
"There were four students and a driver onboard the bus, but at no time was the bus aide alone with students, said Sanko, and the route was completed without incident.
As required by law, Sanko said the staff member and principal filed a ChildLine report, which then notified the Northampton Township Police Department of the incident. Police subsequently cited the man with indecent exposure and Durham School Services terminated his employment, said the superintendent.
The parents of students on the bus were contacted and informed of the matter.
"While this person was not a Council Rock employee, we recognize the seriousness of the situation and the concerns it may raise within our community," said Sanko. "Please be aware that all Council Rock staff are trained in mandated reporting and understand their legal and ethical responsibilities to report any behavior that may pose a risk to student safety or well-being. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and the systems we have in place to respond appropriately."
Sanko added, "We remain fully committed to maintaining safe and secure environments for all students, and we appreciate the trust you place in us every day. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office directly."
