Council Rock South Is One Of PA's Best High Schools In New List

NORTHAMPTON, PA — Data analysis company Niche, which specializes in analyzing and ranking top schools and communities, has released its eighth annual list of the best high schools in the country.

Council Rock High School South is the #52 public high school in the state, according to the rankings.

The company also ranked the best Pennsylvania school districts, and named Council Rock School District as #34 in the state. Council Rock was also named the number three school district in Bucks County.

Niche offers report cards for schools and school districts, calculating grades across academics, teachers, clubs and activities, diversity, college prep, and health and safety.

Council Rock High School South received the following scores:

• Academics: A
• Teachers: A
• Clubs & Activities: A
• Diversity: C+
• College Prep: A-
• Health & Safety: A

Council Rock High School South has 2,021 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 16:1. According to state test scores, 84 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 85 percent in reading.
