Downed Power Lines, Tree Close Northampton Twp. Road

Northampton Township Police said Twining Road will be closed until PECO fixes the power lines.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Twining Road was closed Monday afternoon after a large tree and power lines fell in the area, police said.

The Northampton Township Police Department said Twining Road was closed between 2nd St. Pike and Worthington Mill Road.

The roadway will remain closed until PECO responds to fix the power lines and the tree is removed.

Meanwhile, police said that 2nd St. Pike between Bustleton Pike and Newtown Richboro Road will have one lane open each way northbound and southbound for the rest of the week between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
