Driver Arrested For False ID, Accidents Reported In Northampton Twp.
Police also investigated a suspicious vehicle, responded to an emergency alert, and returned loose dogs to their owner.
RICHBORO, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reports the following arrests and incidents between Feb. 25 and March 2:
February 24
- Wires Down — Patrol observed wires down in the area of Lower Holland Road and Brae Bourne Drive. In checking, the wires were not cut and were hanging low due to extra wire that had come loose. Verizon was contacted.

- Traffic Accident — Patrol responded to the area of Buck Road and Thoroughbred Drive for a traffic accident. Unit 2 was stopped on Buck Road and waiting to make a left turn onto Thoroughbred Drive when unit 1 struck them from behind. Tow was required.
February 26
- Well Being Check — Patrol responded to the area of Chelsea Circle for the report of a well-being check. Patrol received an emergency alert from a vehicle in the area. The vehicle was located, and contact was made with the owner who reported no problems.
February 27

- Traffic Accident — Patrol responded to the area of Newtown-Richboro Road and Rock Way for a traffic accident. Unit 2 was traveling on Newtown-Richboro Road and was stopped for a red traffic signal at Rock Way. While stopped, they were struck from behind by unit 1. Tow was not required.
February 28
- Dog Complainant — Patrol responded to Grenoble Road for the report of dogs running around in the area. Patrol located the dogs and they were returned home.
March 1
- Traffic Accident — Patrol responded to the 200 block of Newtown-Richboro Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling east on Newtown-Richboro Road when a deer ran into the roadway. As a result, contact was made. Tow was not required.
- False Reports to Law Enforcement — Patrol initiated a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation on 2nd Street Pike. During the traffic stop, the driver gave false information to conceal their identity. They were subsequently taken into custody for false reports to law enforcement.
March 2
- Suspicious Vehicle — At 12:10 a.m., patrol responded to the area of Walnut Drive for the report of a vehicle with its doors open. Contact was made with the vehicle owner who reported leaving the doors open while unloading groceries. Everything was okay.
