Due To Excessive Heat Forecast, Trash Hauler Adjusts Schedule
Customers should have their trash at curbside by 6 p.m. the night before their scheduled collection.
NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — For the week of June 18 to 21, Whitetail Trash Disposal will start its routes at 5 a.m. due to the extreme heat index and forecast temperatures in the 90s.
Trash and recycling should be placed at the curb by 6 p.m. the night before your scheduled trash day to ensure prompt pick-up.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from June 18 at 10 a.m. through June 19 at 6 a.m. and an Excessive Heat Watch in effect from June 19 at 6 a.m. through June 22 at 8 p.m.

An Excessive Heat Watch means that dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of up to 104 degrees are possible.
Heat related illnesses increase significantly during the extreme heat and high humidity events. People should drink plenty of fluids, stay inside of an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.
