Farmers Market Highlights: Bee Hive / EcoMan / Guest Chef
The Wrightstown Farmers Market is held Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2203 Second Street Pike, Wrightstown

There’s plenty on tap for this week’s Wrightstown Farmers Market.
In addition to fresh, local food, you can check out a live bee hive, sample fresh-pressed juice from Doc Bakers Farmulations and enjoy live music.
This weekend, Bucks County Beekeepers Association will be there with an observation hive and Eco Man will be performing in the music tent. Plus, Wrightstown Friends Nursery School will be doing a children’s activity.

Market organizers expect the following products to be available: arugula, agretti, asparagus, basil, beets, bok choy, broccoli, broccoli rabe, butter oyster mushrooms, carrots, chives, cilantro, dill, escarole, fennel, garlic, garlic scapes, green onions, cut herbs, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, lettuce, mint, mizuna, mushrooms, mustard greens, napa cabbage, nasturtium flowers, new potatoes,oregano, parsley, parsnips, potatoes, radicchio, radishes, ramps, rosemary, rhubarb, sage, scallions, snap peas, spinach, spring onions, spring turnips, strawberries, swiss chard, summer squash, radishes, tatsoi, tender greens, thyme, watercress, zucchini and more.
There will also be hormone and antibiotic-free, pasture-raised meats and free range eggs.

The guest chef this week is Chef Mark Valenza, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York City. He has worked at the Frenchtown Inn, Nado in Princeton and Triumph Brewing Company in Princeton. He was also the Chef/Owner of Za Restaurant in Pennington.
The market is held weekly on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May through November. It is located at the Wrightstown Municipal Building, 2203 Second Street Pike.
