NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported several crimes that occurred in the area between Monday, March 28, and Sunday, April 3.

Monday, March 28

- Police responded to a residence on Manor Drive for a report of a dwelling fire. Police assisted the fire department in evacuation and extinguishing the fire.
- A man entered police headquarters to turn himself in, as he had an active warrant out of Bucks County Sheriff’s Office for a parole violation.
- Police responded to Almshouse Road at Joshua Drive for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one car rear-ended another.
- Police responded to Plumly Way for a report of a theft of a bicycle. The complainant reports that her son's bicycle was stolen in the area of the Village Shires shopping center. The bicycle is described as all black with an orange sticker that read “GT. BMX”.
Tuesday, March 29
- Police responded to 2nd Street Pike for a report of a two-vehicle accident; a driver was making a left turn into a parking lot and struck another driver.
- Police responded to West Bristol Road at Hatboro Road for a report of a four-vehicle accident; one driver rear-ended another driver, which caused the struck driver to strike another driver, who then struck one themselves. The first three drivers a tow.
- Police responded to a residence on Matthew Circle for a report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant stated that his sons’ friend stole their 2017 Honda Civic from their driveway.
- Police responded to Heron Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver was backing out of his driveway and was struck by another driver.
- Police responded to a business parking lot off Bustleton Pike for a report of a two-vehicle traffic.
Wednesday, March 30

- Police responded to a residence in Village Shires for a report of fraud. The complainant reports an unknown person intercepting a check she put in the mail to pay a bill. The check was altered to increase the amount and the recipient’s name was changed.
- Police responded to a business for the report of retail theft. The complainant reports an unknown person leaving the store with a shopping cart full of items. The subject left in a dark gray Nissan Versa with no license plate. The subject was described as 5’9 with black hair, a black/grey beanie, a black jacket, and a blue mask.
- Police responded to Middle Holland Road at Old Jordan Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver turned right in front of another. There were no reported injuries, but both vehicles required a tow.
Thursday, March 31
- A man was taken into custody for threatening to kill his wife. He was processed and arraigned.
- Police responded to Almshouse Road at Inland Road for a report of a three-vehicle traffic accident; one driver rear-ended another, which caused the struck driver to rear-end a third driver. There were no reported injuries, but all three vehicles required a tow.
- Police responded to the 2000 block of Chinquapin Road for a report of a one-vehicle traffic accident; the driver was navigating the S Bend on Chinquapin Road when his vehicle fishtailed and struck a tree.
Friday, April 1
- Police responded to the 900 block of 2nd Street Pike for a report of a traffic accident; a driver attempted to make a left in front of another driver, causing a collision. The second driver sustained an injury but refused transportation. Both vehicles required a tow.
- Police responded to Jacksonville Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver rear-ended another driver. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
- Police responded to Newtown Richboro Road at Township Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver turned left in front of another driver, causing a collision. There were no reported injuries, but the first driver required a tow.
- Police responded to Bustleton Pike at Knowles Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver rear-ended another. The struck driver sustained a minor injury.
Saturday, April 2
- Police responded to a residence for a report of an assault. One person was taken into custody, processed, and arraigned.
Sunday, April 3
- Police responded to West Bristol Road at Jacksonville Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver rear-ended another driver. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
- One person was taken into custody for returning to a business after being told numerous times in the past that he was not permitted on the property.
