Northampton Days Committee Makes Donations

Checks were presented at the December 11th Northampton Township Supervisors Meeting

The Northampton Days Committee was pleased to present three $5,000 donation checks at the December 11th Northampton Township Board of Supervisors meeting. Committee Chairman Steve Bryer spoke about Northampton Day, what it brings to the community and the policy of making donations to various deserving organizations each year. There are many donations given to organizations such all 7 of the Council Rock School District PTO’s located in Northampton as well as two scholarships to Senior High School students. But the larger $5,000 donations were presented at the meeting to 3 organizations by Committee member Scott Duretz as follows:

Autism Cares Foundation - introduced and described by Committee member Pete Palestina

A $5,000 check was presented to Linda and Frank Kuepper.

Founded on the desire to offer children with autism enriched life experiences, ACF has grown to include Day Habilitation and Home and Community programs. ACF strives to provide life-enriching experiences and resources to individuals and families living with disabilities in a safe and respectful environment. To enrich the lives of those with disabilities today and build a brighter tomorrow. Participants can enjoy over 200 activities each year. These include arts and crafts, bowling, bounce events, movies, physical fitness, glee club, holiday parties, dances, prom, and much more. The participating families consider ACF events essential for overall well-being.

Council Rock Coalition for Healthy Youth - introduced and described by Committee member John Bishop

A $5,000 check was presented to Debbie Moskovitz and Francine Block. The coalition is a group of concerned community members whose mission is to mobilize and engage all sectors of communities to work together to reduce risk behaviors of our youth, helping them to reach their full potential in a healthy environment. They provide many programs for youth and adults and are a great resource for information.

Able Force - introduced and described by Committee Chairman Steve Bryer

A $5,000 check was presented to Mike Fitzgerald and his son Shawn.

ABLE Force is a 501c3 Non-Profit based in Richboro, PA. All four of its businesses operate out of their 4,000 square foot facility on 2nd Street Pike in Richboro. Ninety-five (95) percent of their staff is comprised of adults with IDD (Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities). The Force provides employment opportunities to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
