NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported several crimes that occurred in the area between Monday, Feb. 14 and Sunday, Feb. 20.

April 18

- Police responded to Eisenhard Drive for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The complainant told police that an unknown person, possibly more than one, entered her vehicle and stole two gift cards that were left on the passenger seat.
- Police responded to Black Rock Drive for a report of a theft. The complainant told police that an unknown person stole gift cards that were in an envelope in his mailbox. The Postal Inspector was made aware of the situation.
Tuesday
- A report of a two-vehicle traffic accident from Upper Holland Road at Bustleton Pike; one driver turned in front of another driver, causing a collision. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
- Police responded to the 100 block of Buck Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver struck another driver while leaving a parking stall. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
- Police responded to Spencer Road at Breckenridge Drive for a report of a single-vehicle traffic accident; the driver swerved to avoid striking a deer and hit a curb instead. After striking the curb, the car became disabled. There were no reported injuries.
- A report of a solicitation complaint was made in the area of Whitehurst Drive. The complainant told police a company was seal-coating her neighbor’s driveway and after completing the job they knocked on her door looking for more work. Police later arrived at the location and spoke with the owner of the company. He was advised he needed a permit to solicit and told to stop knocking door-to-door in the area.
Wednesday

- Police responded to the 800 block of 2nd Street Pike for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver struck another driver in the parking lot. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
- A report of fraud was made from Watergate Drive. The complainant told police that an unknown person, possibly more than one, had opened multiple credit cards in their name. After receiving the cards, the complainant contacted his bank to advise them of the fraudulent activity taking place. He was advised to file a police report.
- Police responded to the wooded area near the Neshaminy Creek for a report of vandalism. An unknown person, possibly more than one, smashed the windows to heavy equipment that was in the area. An investigation is ongoing.
Thursday
- Reports of vehicles speeding on South Timber Drive were made to police. The complainant said that it was happening at all hours of the day. They requested extra patrol checks in the area.
- Police responded to a residence off Pond View Drive for a report of a suspicious incident. The complainant reports hearing noises in their attic. Police found a raccoon that entered through the attic vent. The resident informed police they would contact a Pest Control company to handle the situation.
Friday
- Police responded to Old Jordan Road for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The complainant reported an unknown person entering her unlocked vehicle and stealing $80 in cash and a bank card.
- Police responded to Bustleton Pike at Valley Drive for a report of a hit and run accident. The complainant reports that, sometime between Monday and Friday, an unknown person struck the front end of his vehicle.
- A report of a suspicious vehicle was made from a parking lot off 2nd Street Pike. Upon arrival, police made contact with the vehicle owner. The owner was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance.
Saturday
- Police responded to the 300 block of Buck Road for a report of a single-vehicle traffic accident; the driver struck a deer in the roadway. There were no reported injuries and the vehicle did not require a tow.
- Police responded to 2nd Street Pike at Almshouse Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver attempted to turn right into the gas station and sideswiped another driver. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
- Police responded to West Bristol Road at Jacksonville Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver rear-ended another driver. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
- A well-being check was made in the area of New Road. Reports of a subject staggering in the roadway were made to police, who were able to locate the person in the area. After further investigation, it was learned the subject’s condition was medically related. Police were able to locate the subject’s family and reunite them.
- Police responded to the area of Buck Rd. at the Neshaminy Bridge for an intoxicated person in the roadway. After police found them, the person’s husband was contacted; he arrived on location to transport her home.
Sunday
- Police responded to Bustleton Pike at Barberry Lane for a report of a three-vehicle traffic accident; one driver rear-ended another driver, causing the struck driver to strike another driver, who was stopped and preparing to turn left onto Barberry Lane. There were no reported injuries. The first driver required a tow.
- A report of a single-vehicle accident was made from Almshouse Road at North Friesland Drive; the driver left the roadway and struck a tree. After further investigation, the driver was taken into custody for DUI.
