Police Investigate Suspicious Incident, Accidents In Northampton
Report of suspicious vehicle turned out to be a driver warming up their car.
RICHBORO, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Jan. 20 and 26:
January 20
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Robin Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling on Robin Road when it struck unit 2 which was parked. A tow was not required.
- Suspicious Incident - Patrol responded to the area of Alan Road for a suspicious incident. A resident reported that a vehicle stopped and attempted to talk to a juvenile who was walking home. Information was gathered and the case was assigned to detectives.
January 21

- Scam - A resident reported that they received an email containing personal information. The email also demanded payment in bitcoin. The resident did not respond to the email. Information was gathered.
January 22
- Traffic Accident (Deer Involved) - Patrol responded to the area of Stoneyford Road and Paddock Way for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling on Stoneyford Road when a deer ran into the roadway. As a result, contact was made. Tow was not required.
January 23

- Suspicious Vehicle - At 1:01 a.m., patrol observed a vehicle with its engine running on Richard Road near businesses that were closed. In checking, an individual was located in a business who reported that they were warming up the vehicle. There were no problems and everything checked out.
January 24
- Fraud - A resident reported that their computer had been locked. They were able to click a link and then received a phone call from an unknown person from Microsoft. The person requested information and money from the resident. No funds were exchanged and patrol gathered information.
January 25
- Found Property - Patrol responded to the area of West Bristol Road and Wordsworth Drive for found property. Once on location, patrol took possession of the item and was able to locate the owner. The property was turned over to its owner.
January 26
- Assist Other Agency - Patrol responded and assisted the Bucks County Park Rangers with an incident at the Churchville Nature Center.
During this tour, patrol handled 16 alarm calls, six abandoned 911 calls, 54 medical emergencies, five bookings, nine domestic disputes, 11 civil disputes, 76 traffic monitoring details and 15 crime prevention details.
