Police Make DUI Arrest, Investigate Fraud: Northampton Twp. Crime Report
Police also responded to calls for a disabled vehicle, fallen wires, and several traffic accidents in the township.
NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents from August 25 to 31:
August 25
- Fraud — A resident stopped at police station to report fraud. The told police that they received multiple text messages thanking them for their purchases. The resident said they checked their accounts to find that an unknown person had gained access to their bank account. They contacted the bank prior to reporting it to this agency. Information was gathered.
August 26

- Disabled Vehicle - At 3:47 a.m., patrol observed a disabled vehicle in the 700 block of 2nd Street Pike. Contact was made with the driver who reported car issues. Everything checked out and the driver had contacted AAA Towing.
August 27
- Down Wires - Patrol observed down wires in the 200 block of Middle Holland Road. Verizon was contacted and would be responding to the scene to fix the issue.
August 28

- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to Bristol Road and Bustleton Pike for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was turning left onto Bristol Road from Bustleton Pike when it made contact with unit 2 which was traveling on Bristol Road. Tow was not required.
August 29
- Assist Other Police Department - Patrol responded to the area of Jacksonville Road and West Bristol Road to assist Warminster Police with a vehicle crash. Patrol assisted as needed and cleared.
August 30
- Traffic Stop/DUI Arrest - Patrol initiated a traffic stop in the area of Holland Road and Hawthorne Terrace. Through investigation, the driver was taken into custody for the suspicion of driving while under influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
August 31
- Found Property - Complainant came into the station to drop off property that they had found on Holland Road. Patrol was able to locate the owner and the property was returned.
During this tour, patrol handled 14 alarm calls; 23 abandoned 911 calls; 41 medical emergencies; 16 bookings; five domestic disputes; six civil disputes; 52 traffic monitoring details and eight crime prevention details.
