Remote Learning Day Friday At Council Rock SD Due To Weather Warning
A winter storm warning begins at 4 a.m. Friday, as parts of the Philadelphia metro could get 4 to 6 inches of snow.
NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock School District will have an asynchronous learning day on Friday, due to an incoming snowstorm that could make travel conditions dangerous for staff and students.
The district announced that all schools and offices would be closed Jan. 19, and assignments for students will be posted on Canvas or Google Classroom.
Activities at CR facilities and buildings are canceled Friday.

Forecasters issued a winter storm warning in Lower Bucks County beginning at 4 a.m. Friday and lasting until 10 p.m. Snowfall is scheduled to begin Friday morning and could bring 4 to 6 inches of accumulation.
The National Weather Service advised people in the Philadelphia metro area to avoid driving on Friday, "as road conditions will deteriorate as the day progresses."

The metro area has not had a winter storm warning since Jan. 29, 2022, so it has been close to two years since there have been significant impacts from snow in the area.
