Resurfacing Projects To Impact Traffic In Northampton And Wrightstown

Milling and resurfacing projects are scheduled to start on Wednesday on Route 232 and on Worthington Mill Road.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Milling and repaving operations are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 8 on two roadways in Northampton Township.

  • Worthington Mill Road between Second Street Pike in Northampton Township and Swamp Road in Wrightstown Township is scheduled to be milled and paved starting on Wednesday, May 8 continuing through May 23. Weekday periodic lane closures are expected between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Route 232 (2nd Street Pike) between Bustleton Pike in Northampton Township and Swamp Road in Wrightstown Township is scheduled to be milled and paved starting on Wednesday, May 8 and continuing through May 23. Work is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Periodic lane closures are expected.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
