Storm Damage, Fraudulent Activity: Northampton Twp. Police Report
The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents between June 16 and June 22.
RICHBORO, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents between June 16 and June 22:
June 16
- Fraud - A resident reported that they received a letter in the mail inquiring about an account. The complainant went to a local branch to speak to a representative about the letter. While speaking to the representative, the resident found that their personal information had been used to open an account without their knowledge or permission. The account was closed, and information was gathered.

- Solicitor Complaint - Patrol responded to the area of Grandview Drive for a solicitor complaint. Once on location, the solicitor was located, and they were identified. They did not have a permit to solicit and left the area.
June 18
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Hatboro Road and West Bristol Road for the report of a traffic accident. Unit 2 was traveling southbound on Hatboro Road and was stopped at West Bristol Road due to traffic. While stopped, they were struck from behind by unit 1 which was traveling the same direction. Tow was not required.

- Hazardous Conditions - Due to weather conditions (storm), trees were down on roadways throughout the township. Numerous roads were closed until PECO and Public Works could respond and address the wires and fallen trees. Once areas were safe, barricades and other temporary traffic control devices were removed.
June 20
- Road/Travel Hazard - Patrol responded to the area of Linden Road for a tree branch that was partially blocking the roadway. Once on location, patrol was able to clear the roadway.
June 21
- Lost Dog - A resident stopped at the police station to report that their dog got out. After a short period of time, the dog was located and reunited with its owner.
June 22
- Road/Traffic Hazard - Patrol responded to the area of 2nd Street Pike and Kings Lane for the report of a tree branch in the roadway. Once on location, patrol located the tree branch, and it was removed from the roadway.
During this tour, patrol handled 28 alarm calls, 23 abandoned 911 calls, 33 medical emergencies, 10 bookings, two domestic disputes, 10 civil disputes, 60 traffic monitoring details and 14 crime prevention details.
