Trespassing, Graffiti, And More: Northampton Twp. Police Log

These incidents and more were reported in Northampton Township. Read all about them below.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported several crimes that occurred in the area between Monday, Feb. 7 and Sunday, Feb. 13.

Monday, Feb. 7

  • Police responded to Almshouse Rd. at Jacksonville Rd. for a report of a hit and run accident; one driver said she was stopped in traffic, preparing to turn left onto Jacksonville Rd. when another driver attempted to pass her and struck her vehicle. The second driver left the scene. No injuries or tows were reported.
  • Police responded to Newtown Richboro Rd. at Titus Ave. for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident; one driver turned in front of another, causing a collision. No injuries or tows were reported.
  • Police responded to Holland Rd. at Hope Rd. for a report of a single-vehicle traffic accident; a driver struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries or tows were reported.

Tuesday, Feb. 8

  • A two-vehicle traffic accident was reported at South Timber Dr.; a driver struck another driver's parked vehicle. No injuries or tows were reported.
  • A two-vehicle traffic accident was reported on 2nd St. Pike at Newtown Richboro Rd.; one driver pulled into the right turn lane, striking another driver. No injuries or tows were reported.
  • Police responded to a residence for a report of trespassing. According to the homeowner, an unknown person was evicted from the residence and advised not to return after they fell asleep in one of the bedrooms. After the subject was taken into custody for trespassing, it was discovered that he had a warrant out of the Bucks County Sheriffs Office. He was later released to the Sheriff's office.

Wednesday, Feb. 9

  • A theft from a building was reported from a residence off 2nd St. Pike. The complainant reports she received a notification from Amazon stating her package was hand-delivered, only to find the package was not at the residence when she returned home. She later contacted Amazon and was issued a partial refund. Police are currently investigating the case.
  • Police took a subject into custody for an outstanding warrant out of Northampton Township. The warrant was for a PFA Violation.
  • A two-vehicle traffic accident was reported from Hatboro Rd. at West Bristol Rd.; one car rear-ended another. Police arrived on the scene. No injuries or tows were reported.

Thursday, Feb. 10

  • A two-vehicle traffic accident was reported on Richard Rd. at Jacksonville Rd.; one car rear-ended another. No injuries were reported, but the driver of the first car required a tow.

Friday, Feb. 11

  • A two-vehicle traffic accident was reported at Elm Ave at Brook Dr.; one driver drove into the oncoming lane and struck another driver. The struck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to SMMC for further evaluation.

Saturday, Feb. 12

  • Police responded to Village Shires for a report of graffiti on several of the dumpsters throughout the association. Police learned who the suspects were after an investigation and are currently looking for the suspects.
  • Traffic Accident Patrol responded to Lydia Ave for a report of A two-vehicle traffic accident was reported on Lydia Avenue; a driver backed into a parked vehicle. No injuries or tows were reported.
  • A hit and run accident was reported on Almshouse Rd. at Inland Rd. A motorcycle driver attempted to pass another vehicle, striking them and leaving the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
  • A traffic violation in the area of Almshouse Rd. at Hatboro Rd. led to an arrest for DUI.

Sunday, Feb. 13

  • A single-vehicle traffic accident was reported on the 900 block of Bridgetown Pike; one driver struck a rock in the roadway, which resulted in two flat tires. No injuries were reported.
