‘Twisted Tea’ Burglar Identified By Northampton Twp. Police

After breaking into a Village Shires restaurant, police said the suspect left carrying two six-packs and a 12-pack of Twisted Tea.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A man caught on video surveillance burglarizing El Barrio Cantino last Sunday night at the Village Shires Shopping Center on Buck Road has been identified.

The Northampton Township Police Department made the announcement in a short social media posting on Friday.

“The suspect at El Barrio Cantina has been identified. We would like to thank the community for their phone calls, messages and continued support,” said police.

The suspect, who has not yet been publicly identified by police, was captured on video forcefully opening a patio door and entering the restaurant around 10:53 pm. last Sunday night after the restaurant had closed.

After spending several hours inside the restaurant, police said the suspect left carrying two six-packs and a 12-pack of Twisted Tea.\

The suspect, a man wearing a black shirt, black sweatpants with an Air Jordan Logo and white shoes, fled on foot toward Beacon Hill Dr.

Police said video from other surveillance shows the suspect arriving at Village Shires parking lot around 10:35 p.m. from the Beacon Hill area.
