Anoopam Mission Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Hindu Temple
Visitors from around the world will celebrate the Anoopam Mission's 10th anniversary and the 75th birthday of its spiritual leader Sant Bhagwant Sahebji.

Anoopam Mission is celebrating several milestones during a weeklong celebration at the Hindu temple celebating its 10th anniversary in North Whitehall.
Local officials and visitors from around the world are expected, including Sant Bhagwant Sahebji, the founder and spiritual leader of Anoopam Mission, who is celebrating his 75th birthday.Â
The festivities began Wednesday with an opening ceremony at the temple, also known as the Shree Swaminarayan Spiritual and Cultural Center. The temple was built on a hilltop at 2120 Clearview Road and includes dramatic panoramic views of the countryside.

The mission is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of its annual youth camps. Â

- Friday: Mahayagna (ancient offering and purification ceremony)Â from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.Â
- Saturday: 20th annual Patotsav Vidhi (reconsecration of the temple’s deities) from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
     — Shalin Manav Ratna’ humanitarian award will be given to Dr. Sudhir Parikh and Dr. Nilesh Patel in recognition of their considerable contributions to humankind, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.Â
- Sunday: 75th Birthday celebration for Sant Bhagwant Sahebji, who wlil attend the festivities, along with U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent, Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan, Hariprasad Swamiji, Swami Nityananda Baba and Adhyatmanand Swamiji, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.Â
Exhibitions will be held throughout the festivities.Â
