Gress Mountain Ranch Barn Sale, Blood Drive at Newhard's This Weekend in North Whitehall

Here's what's happening this weekend in and around North Whitehall Township.
- North Whitehall Township administration building will be closed Friday so staff can attend the annual summer convention of Lehigh County Association of Township Officials.
- Gress Mountain Ranch, 3264 Highland Road in Orefield, will hold a barn sale, beginning at 8 a.m. Friday. All proceeds benefit the animal sanctuary.
- Hounds on Working Leashes (HOWL) is hosting a breakfast fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday at Applebee's, 1510 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., to help pay for a ballistic vest for South Whitehall's newest police dog, Cirrus. Tickets cost $8 for an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. Boy Scout Troop 8 will donate proceeds from a car wash they will hold in the Applebee's parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Miller-Keystone Blood Center Blood Drive will be held from 9 a.m. 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Newhard Farms Corn Shed, 3250 Mauch Chunk Road. Free corn to all registered donors.
- The Parkland Community Library used book sale will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall.
- A Computer Basics Internet Skills class will be held 9a.m. Saturday at Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall. Call 610-398-1361 for details.
