Parkland Football Kicks Off Friday
The Parkland High School football team is considered one of the favorites in the tough Lehigh Valley Conference.

will open its 2012 scholastic football campaign Friday night on the road against Delaware Valley in its quest for a Lehigh Valley Conference championship and a return trip to the District 11 playoffs.
For eighth-year head coach Jim Morgans, who returns key players such as quarterback Tim Baranek, Jared Elder and Zach Gurinowich, the success of switching to a spread offense from a Wing-T will be the benchmark.
Last year, the Trojans finished 9-3 overall, losing to Nazareth in the first round of the District 11 playoffs.
